Why Charlotte for CNC machining?

Charlotte sits at the center of the Southeast's advanced manufacturing corridor. The region that built NASCAR's precision engine components now machines flight-critical aerospace parts, defense hardware, and high-performance industrial components.

Apex Manufacturing operates from Charlotte's industrial core, giving procurement managers a strategic advantage: proximity to major aerospace OEMs and defense primes along the I-85 corridor, next-day ground shipping to most of the Eastern Seaboard, and a skilled workforce drawn from the Carolinas' deep manufacturing tradition.

For companies in Greenville-Spartanburg, the Research Triangle, or the greater Southeast looking for CNC overflow capacity, Charlotte is the natural fit. Close enough for a site visit before lunch. Far enough from the high-cost Northeast to keep your per-part pricing competitive.

I-85 Aerospace Corridor
Direct access to the manufacturing belt connecting Charlotte to Greenville-Spartanburg, home to GE Aviation, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing suppliers.
CLT International Airport
One of the largest US hubs. Your engineering team can visit our shop and return the same day from most East Coast cities.
Logistics & Shipping
Next-day ground to Atlanta, DC, Raleigh, Knoxville. Two-day ground coverage to most of the Eastern US. Expedited air freight for critical parts.
Workforce Heritage
Charlotte's manufacturing roots run deep—from motorsport precision to aerospace. Skilled CNC machinists who understand tight tolerances and exotic materials.
